Miami Open 2019: Serena withdraws, No. 1 Osaka Loses and Roger Federer wins

On 18 March 2019, Miami Open started, and fans are again looking for a new champion. But again, in this season uncertainty showed in the game.

On last Saturday match, World’s no. 10 Ranker, Serena Williams withdraws her name due to her previously undisclosed left knee injury.

William’s withdraw was unexpected for the fans because in the earlier day there was no sign of injury after winning her first match against Rebecca Peterson with 6-3, 1-6, 6-1.

After her withdrawal she said, “I am disappointed to withdraw,” she also added “It was an amazing experience to play at Hard Rock Stadium this year, and I would like to thank the Miami Open for putting on an amazing event. I hope to be back next year to play at this one-of-a-kind tournament in front of the incredible fans here in Miami.”

Two hours before of her announcement the Women’s No. 1, Naomi Osaka had lost the third round against Taiwanese Hsieh Su-Wei with the score of 4-6, 7-6, 6-3.

After the match, “I feel like I’ve dealt with the stress of people asking me to do I have pressure because I have the No. 1 next to my name,” Osaka said. “I thought I was doing fine with that, but I guess I’m not.”

On the other side, The Roger Federer won against the Radu Albot with the score of 4-6, 7-5, 6-3. Federer also said, “Radu put me through the ringer”.

In the first Set Radu lead with 4-6 but after losing the first set Roger Federer has done a good comeback and won the rest of two sets, and ultimately won the match.
